The Garden

Merlestead faces southwest and is surrounded by its own private fenced and sunny garden. The garden has extensive views and abuts woodland and fell on two sides.

The enclosed large mature garden that surrounds the property is both private and sheltered. It is made up of lawns and mature shrubs and provides a choice of seating areas with table and chairs. One of the special features of Merlestead is that you have direct access onto the lower fells of Skiddaw from a gate in the rear garden.
